The two units are situated about a half a km from each
other which guarantees each ones privacy. Both are situated
on the edge of the river and as such unique in the area. Both
have kitchenettes (microwave, fridge/freezer, etc), covered
stoeps with dining tables. Both have fireplaces inside and
lapas outside with wood provided. Linen, towels, tea, coffee,
milk, dishwashing liquid,braai utensils, etc. provided.
Both have electricity and pets are welcome (at own risk). Both can only be rented as a whole unit i.e. the camping space
must be rented with the building. Weekends must be taken for two
nights and long weekends three nights.
Check in time 13.30, check
out at 10.00 except for Sundays, enjoy the day, as you've rented
it for the weekend. Dam available for skiing, bass and trout caught
in river.
The farm is situated between a river and mountains and as
such it is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and bird watching. Both
sites unique and special. Please note that during dry years the level
of the river drops very low and free flowing water can't be guaranteed
during midsummer. The dam however remains constant.
We are situated
9km before you get to Ceres at the start of Mitchells Pass on the farm
Ou Stasie.
It takes about an hour and a half from Cape Town to get to us. |
